Diet Coke Chicken

A few ladies asked for the recipe for the diet coke chicken and so here you go:

Mini chicken fillets or diced chicken breasts
Can of Diet Coke
Passata
2 onions
1 pepper
Oxo
Worcestershire Sauce

Cook chicken in fry light and add chopped onion. Sprinkle with oxo cube and add diced pepper. Once chicken is almost cooked add 6 tablespoons of passata to diet coke and mix well, then pour over chicken in a pot. Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce. Bring to the boil then reduce heat and simmer for 15-30 minutes until the sauce thickens. Serve while hot.

I served mine with home made egg fried rice and it was delicious.

A quick card

I don't know when I last made a card, but here's a very quick one that I made tonight. I signed up to Josie's swap over on PCP. It was to use up scraps to make a card and use some embellishments too. I really enjoyed making this very quick card and I know the perfect recipient for it too.

Recipe Cards

Here are some recipe cards that I made for a swap over on YPP. I've never made a recipe card before so really hope these meet the criteria. I'm so looking forward to receiving mine from the group and seeing what others have made.

Goodbye my precious man

We received a phone call from my BIL tonight, with such sad news. Our second dog, who went to live with his granny when I broke my leg a few years ago and never wanted to come home, has passed to Rainbow Bridge. He was a wedding gift from my husband and we got him nearly ten years ago. He was the sweetest most adorable and affectionate little guy you could ever meet. He used to throw himself on you and just want to be petted, even if you didn't want to pet him he'd make sure you did. The last while he hasn't been too good and CKC suffer with their hearts which he has for the last while. It's come as such sad news to lose another four legged friend, but he will never be forgotten.

What a sight to see!!!

Ok so this morning after dropping hubby to the Dart I decided to go to a local park to have my walk. The mornings are getting brighter and I want to lengthen my walks after the winter months. So I headed off with my little girl (four legged little girl) Angel.

We got to the park and I saw people walking so thought great, I'll park in my usual spot and head off. So I parked and walked up to the gates to discover they where still locked. So I stood for a few minutes figuring out what to do, time was precious because of work and I didn't want to be wasting time. I reckon I took too long decide because suddenly Angel ran under the gate and wouldn't come back. So I decided to climb over the gate thinking it would be no hassle and that I could go on my merry way.

So I climbed up swung a leg over and hey presto.......I was stuck, yeap stuck. My feet different directions, me the short ass that I am (all 5ft 1.5inches) stuck and nobody in sight. Thank god there was nobody in sight but I didn't know how I'd get off that gate. I stood kind of, with my leg dangling one side and a foot balancing on a bar the other. Stuck for a few minutes panicking, not really knowing what to do, eventually I managed to shimmy a little and get my other leg over the gate and jump to the ground. What a sight for sore eyes!!!!

One thing I will say is that I learnt to take risks and not to be afraid to laugh at myself, which I did out loud and felt great for.

Mini Album

Here's the first ever mini album that I've made and have loved making it. It will be winging it's way to the USA very shortly for a swap I've taken part in over on LATSB. Hope my partner likes it as much as I do. Pages and pockets for my partners own photos and journalling.

YAY

It finally showed up, the USB cable that I ordered. So this means that I can upload pics of what I've received and when I've got them taken, pics of what I've made. So here goes, here are two pics of gifts received from swap partners for Christmas. I'm really delighted with what I received, thank you.

What I've been up to

This week has been busy with working on swaps. I finished a beautiful romantic mini in pinks and am so excited to send it to Lindsay. This evening I finished making gift card wallets out of envelopes and now tomorrow I'll be on to making my altered Pringles lid with an Angel charm to send to Linda in Australia. Unfortunately I've no pics at present due to losing my USB cable and awaiting another one from the UK. I do hope it arrives fairly sharp because I'm dying to pop up pictures to show you all. Watch this space......
