Here are two necklace and earrings sets that I made myself over the weekend. I've not made jewelry for a while so am pretty happy with how these turned out.

I've been really enjoying making itsys and minis but realised that I've not taken half as many pics as I should have. In fact I've become really bad about taking pics. Here's the first ever I made and really enjoyed creating too.

Below you'll see a mini in which I created for a friend's baby.

Key Lime PIe

It's hubby's turn to bring baking in to work tomorrow and so I just made my famous Key Lime Pie. This is the tastiest thing ever, it's so so sweet too!!

I bought this mouse pad in IKEA and had to spruce it up a bit. Think it looks way prettier done up. So girlie, wouldn't you agree?

I know it's Summer but it might as well be Winter, the weather is shocking. We've had hardly any sun but have had lots of gray days and rain. I decided to get ahead of the game and start my Christmas preparations early and so made these Christmas cards. Appeal - Cards For Ellie

I am calling to my crafty friends and anybody who visits my blog, to please support my friend's 8 year old cousin Ellie. Ellie has a condition called Neurofirbomatosis, which is rare in Ireland. She will spend the next 18-24 months getting chemo treatments to try and stop the growth of the brain tumor on her optic nerves and save her vision.

Woohoo, I just received happy mail from Josie!! We partnered up to create mixed media canvases and hers arrived today. I'm so excited to share it with you, it took me half an hour to pick my jaw up off the floor upon opening it. Thanks Josie.

Here is part of my mum's birthday gift. It was my first every pin cushion and I've only ever made stick pins once way before xmas, so felt like I was making them for the first time again. Love creating this and see myself making more.

Acrylics & Canvas

I used to paint before I got into paper crafts and beading, then forgot all about it. Today I've spent the last two hours painting, using my acrylics on canvas something I've not done for a few years. Wow I've completely forgotten how therapeutic this can be and have seriously enjoyed myself too. It will be a few days before the painting is completed but I'm loving it so much already. The canvas as it stands is washed with blues and pinky/purple and looking at it I feel invigorated. Need to let this wash dry before I can do any more, which will hopefully be this evening.

When I attended art classes I had to follow the tutor's instruction and found myself painting landscapes which she expected, copying the work of others. There's nothing wrong with landscapes, I quite enjoy standing in front of them in a gallery or exhibition but it's more fulfilling to be able to express oneself more openly and go with what comes through the brush in a natural rhythm. I'm curious how this painting will turn out, so watch this space and soon their will be an original piece by Niamh....
